Anik Lalonde PT,
Owner, Physiotherapist

Anik Lalonde graduated from Queens University with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy. Previous to which, she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from the University of Ottawa. Her career began in orthopedic physiotherapy, which she continue to love and practice, but has since developed a keen interest and specialty in pelvic health physiotherapy.

As many studies show, it is important to consider the connection between the deeper structures of the pelvis, core muscles, and the whole body. Anik can provide her orthopedic patients with the benefits of her pelvic health and core knowledge on its often-missed contribution to various musculoskeletal complaints.

Far too many times she has seen people struggling with abdominal-pelvic health “dysfunctions” thinking nothing can be done about the matter. It breaks her heart that they still don’t know that conservative treatment options do exist to alleviate their symptoms. Her goal is to enable women and men to feel great, improve their health and wellbeing, provide safe and clinically effective exercises and/or advice and education about their own bodies so that they can improve their health and reduce injury.

Anik uses a combination of manual therapy, myofascial release, and exercise rehabilitation including integration of breath and mindful movement when creating individualized treatment plans. She strongly believes that the key to successful therapy starts with carefully listening to a person’s story and is a strong advocate in educating patients and giving them the right tools that will allow them to pursue the activities that truly matter to them.

Anik has a life-long commitment to continuing education in order to provide quality services to all her clients and has taken several post-graduate courses over the last few years:
